There’s nothing worse than taking a relaxing stroll around the park only to be confronted by a pooch with ill fitting dog clothes. Honestly, bits bulging out all over the place, flashing fur here and there. Put it away love!

With that in mind I have put together a quick reference guide for mums and dads wanting to buy dog clothing or dog harnesses (which fit!) and perhaps we can avoid the humiliation of ill fitting dog clothes for the future, I truly hope so!

Length

Please bear in mind that dog clothes such as t shirts and hoodies are often not designed to cover the entire length of your pets back, please see the items picture to gauge. The back measurement is taken whilst your dog is standing, from the base of the neck, along the spine to the base of the tail.

Chest

By far the most important measurement is the chest. Taken around the chest at the widest point, usually just behind the front legs. Please be sure to add extra to your measurments for comfort, this is usually 10% - 20%.

Designers sizes differ greatly - there is no universal sizing for dogs, so always measure
Always double check the measurements. My mum never has returns because the item is too big, only because it is too small. Please bear this in mind when ordering dog clothes to avoid returns (and the sights mentioned above!). If unsure pick the lager size.
