Some of my friends have been lost in the past and they tell me how important it is to have an ID tag! Many were spared the horror of the dog pound because of it…..and that is good enough for me! Myself, I have an ID tag for each dog collar, they have to coordinate if you ask me. My sister Kooki has a little cat ID tag on her cat collar too, she looks very cute.

For the vast majority of dog and cat owners their pets are a member of the family, their best friends. Losing a pet can be one of most traumatic times of our life and according to recent surveys it happens to a very large number of people in the UK alone. Apart from taking measures to stop your dog or cat being lost in the first place it is very important to ensure their safe return as quickly as possible.

 
One of the simplest ways of ensuring your dog or cat is returned to its home quickly is by attaching an ID tag to their collar.  The ID tag can be engraved with information needed to contact your quickly such as a mobile telephone number and address. In the UK under the “Control of dogs order 1992” it is illegal for most dogs in a public place to be without a dog collar identifying the name and address of the owner. The owner can be fined up to £5,000 if the law is broken.
